Projects
Co-funded by the Dutch Government Department of Economics, Next Generation B.V. opened its proprietary research center and lab in March 2005. The facilities will facilitate applications and research in the use of photoluminescent, electroluminescent and security pigments. Partnerships with clients’ technology groups have yielded success in the following applications:
Glowing Real flowers 2004
Next Generation B.V. has developed in close cooperation with a chemist working in the flower industry a special paint which could be used on flowers without influencing the lifetime or look of the flower (please see attached for pictures).
Photoluminescent safety glowing lines for marking of public road and building, 2004
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for road marking which is lighted by daylight (please see attached for pictures).
Photo luminescent glowing golf ball 2004
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for a glowing golf ball (please see attached for pictures).
Glowing real flowers 2005 with the help of an aerosol
Next Generation B.V. has developed in close cooperation with a chemist working in the aerosol industry a special paint which could be used on flowers without influencing the lifetime or look of the flower (please see attached for pictures).
Luminescent lamp, luminescent panel and luminescent exit sign with artificial light source from the top part of the glass 2005
Next Generation B.V. has developed in close cooperation with a light company using technology which creates a new system for lighting panels whereby text of pictures only stand out (please see attached for pictures).
Liquid Light ® 2006
Next Generation B.V has developed a liquid luminescent light. The liquid light can store natural or artificial light and heat, allowing the release of this light and heat in a controlled manner. NLP® or other luminescent pigments are undergoing testing for endurance under various environments. The second phase of ongoing luminescent light research will be to match the light on the light frequencies used by plants. Liquid Light applications with UV light corrections have been patented.
Glowdough 2006
Next Generation B.V has developed in good cooperation with a chemist based in the UK, a play dough which gives light in the dark in several colors.
Interlayer foil on glass or polycarbonate 2006
Next Generation B.V. has developed in close cooperation with a plastics manufacturer a interlayer foil that can be used on and in laminated glass, providing stability. The foil applications can be used on architectural flat glass, both interior and exterior and can also be incorporated into interior glass objects for decoration purposes. There are also numerous safety device applications possible (please see attached for pictures).
Thermochromic snowflakes for the highway 2006
Next Generation BV has developed a marking system that indicates for the driver if the road could contain ice, this application was further developed between a Dutch and Swiss partner on improving UV résistance. The testing finished in 2014 (please see attached for pictures).
Enhancing brightness of photoluminescent pigment 2007
Next Generation B.V. has partnered with a technology research center in the Netherlands to enhance brightness and adaptability characteristics of NLP® pigments. These enhancements have increased brightness and improved adaptability for multiple applications and production processes (please see attached for pictures).
Photoluminescent yarn for shoe laces 2007
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for photo luminescent shoe laces (please see attached for pictures).
Photoluminescent yarn for lingerie 2007
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for photo luminescent lingerie (please see attached for pictures).
Photoluminescent ceramic tile 2008
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for photo luminescent glass in tiles with Italian customer (please see attached for pictures).
Photoluminescent flatt glass and bottle glass 2008
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for photo luminescent glass in Bottles and flat glass mass production with a German, Dutch and USA customer (please see attached for pictures).
Photoluminescent concrete 2009
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for photo luminescent glass in concrete (patented technology) 2009 (please see attached for pictures).
Electroluminescent safety vest 2010
Next Generation B.V. has developed a new system for lighting safety vest and working cloth’s (please see attached for pictures and av film).
Photoluminescent yarn for shoe laces 2010
Next Generation B.V. has developed a technology for photo luminescent shoe laces.
Electroluminescent safety lines for marking of public road and building, 2013
Next Generation B.V. has developed a new system for lighting road marking.
Photovoltaics and electroluminescence safety lines for marking of public road highway and sound screen by the highway, 2014
Next Generation B.V. has developed a new system for harvesting solar energy combined with the option that we use this energy and convert it into light when needed. With amorf selicium powder and conductive fields for the use on highway’s, highway screen and sound screen.
The tube a photoluminescent lighter transparent with lid which has an armature with UV light and makes the golf ball glow inside the transparent tube. 2014
Next Generation B.V. has developed a new system for lighting golf balls.
Dynamic lightning
In close cooperation with a Italian company in lightening technology, Next Generation BV contributed to combine this technology to El marking, a light on demand system, for the highway of the future (please see attached for the video and pictures).
Commercialization and Innovation
Next Generation B.V.s Research tests and seeks to expand the substrates and applications methods with NLP New Luminescent Pigment ®, EL Electroluminescent pigment EL and thermochromic pigment TP.
Several independent product and application patents have been filed. With assistance and support from a Dutch government Technology Starters program, Next Generation B.V. has gained access to additional independent research facilities and staff.
Next Generation B.V actively welcomes partnership opportunities to develop innovative industrial and retail applications for NLP® NLP New Luminescent Pigment ®, EL Electroluminescent pigment EL and thermochromic pigment TP.
